Prepaid customers are always on the lookout for more data or credit without hurting their back pocket. So we created Optus Xtra – an Android app that lets you earn extra data, just for hosting ads on your phone's lock screen.
Once downloaded, Optus Xtra automatically displays ads and content on the user’s lock-screen. As long as the customer has the app and an active prepaid plan, they’ll get 1GB extra data or a bonus $2 MyCredit every 28 days.
We scoured the market for a number of potential partners and discovered Postr, a New Zealand based start-up, had the best technology. Together with Postr, we built the MVP app over a 6 week sprint
