Children without internet access at home are missing out on critical research skills, computer literacy and social opportunities. We wanted our customers to help bridge this gap without having to donate cash.
So we partnered with The Smith Family to create the Donate your Data SMS bot. It lets selected Optus prepaid customers donate 500MB of their unused data to disadvantaged kids. Once opted into a program, they’ll get an SMS seeing if they want to donate 500MB data. If yes, they simply reply ‘DONATE’ back to the SMS.
